aaron’s only been disc golfing since last july, but to an overly dramatic person such as myself, and because he’s out practicing with his brothers (or by himself when the mood strikes) at least one work-free morning a week, it feels more like a lifetime.
i kid. kind of.
initially, thanks to the farinella boys’ erratic track record with hobbies, i figured it’d be just another one of those things they became fixated on for maybe a minute before moving onto the next — something they certainly had a knack for in the long-past winchester days. but it turns out this wasn’t just a passing fancy. angelo and andrew, who started golf-discing ™ in may and september of 2015, respectively, have yet to throw in the disc-drying towel.
they are committed. like til-death-do-you-part committed. and, in typical farinella brother fashion, aaron is, too. it’s only a matter of time before liam follows suit.
so, this is our life now. throwing discs (or for the athletically-challenged, like me, watching discs being thrown) at the park. for hours. in the sun. multiple days in a row.
at least i’ve got my figs.
