the weather kansas city has been having this week has been unreal. bright blue, nearly cloudless, sunshiny skies with a high of 75 for three days in a row. you know, the perfect leave-your-windows-open-all-day-and-all-night-and-enjoy-the-breeze kind of weather. but with the schedule of aaron’s new(ish) job, we rarely get to spend any time outdoors together before the sun sets — well, beyond our block anyway. so just before we climbed into bed last night, the littlun and i tried convincing the busy, busy worker bee that is papa to take a half day, and join us for an afternoon of nelson-ing and noodle-ing. it’s a good thing our big ol’ pitiful puppy dog eyes are so persuasive, because today — with them and the weather and this wonderful city we are fortunate enough to call home — was the best.
